Web 2.0 is a term coined by O'Reilly describing the new trends in design and development appearing across a flood of innovative websites. This tutorial will show you how to create some of the more popular "Web 2.0" design effects using Photoshop.

Tommy Maloney on Photoshoplab has written a nice step by step “photoshop tutorials”  titled as “Web 2.0 Design Kit”. This tutorial is divided into 2 parts.

The first of the tutorial covers— shows how to make Gradients —the reflective or glass effect seen in Apple’s “Aqua Buttons”, Reflections, soft shadows (and glows) and popping up star shapes (or violators) which are now popular with Web 2.0 professional web designers.

The second tutorial will let you learn — to make Diagonal Line Patterns and rounded corners, a new fad of web designers.
