Today, Yahoo! has launched its new Home page, which was previously in private testing. The all new Yahoo! Home page is now available to anyone using IE or Firefox.

There are a number of changes, including a wider page layout, bigger search bar, and intelligent use of Ajax to make the page more interactive. Among the Key changes include a “personal assistant”, which is a preview area to see recent emails, an online friends list from Yahoo IM and other information (traffic, weather, etc.). They’ve also launched Yahoo Pulse!, “a window to the attention stream of our estimated half-billion users”.

The Yahoo Search blog announces the changes:

The new home page reflects Yahoo!'s unique position at the intersection of people, media, and knowledge. It presents better access to information and the stuff of our lives, and more individual choice about the appearance of the page, thanks to Ajax, DHTML, and personalization technology. You'll find relevant and useful tools for searching, connecting, sharing, and communicating online as well as a bigger window onto the pulse of the Web.
