Google Maps SVG Support
One of the beauties of the web is deployment. A service can be updated without you the user knowing. Google Maps has added SVG support for browsers that support it (Firefox, Opera) to match their VML support for IE. This is a lot better than the transparent PNG solution and prevents the server-client roundtrip. It also means that if you print directions, you get the lines :)
Getting SVG support like this is great for the SVG community.
