AOL Opens Up AIM Access to Everyone (Even Microsoft)
AOL on Monday unveiled a free developer kit, known as Open AIM, that will allow developers to creat plug-ins, mashups and third-party apps that will connect to the AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) network. Microsoft already has taken notice.
